I'm afraid to stop breathing in my sleep. Sleep or death?

I wake up, gulping air, as if I didn’t breathe all the time I slept. I get tired, I don't get enough sleep, I am angry at everyone in a row, but most of all at myself. What happens in the end? And how can I force myself not to think about it? …

Night is coming, it's time to go to bed … I don't want to. But not because I'm not tired, but because I can suffocate in my sleep. It seems to me that in a dream I will stop breathing and just die without even waking up. I constantly think that the words "lay down and did not wake up" are about me. Some kind of madness, like obsessive thoughts. I fall asleep in the morning, when I simply do not have the strength to hold on. I wake up, gulping air, as if I didn’t breathe all the time I slept. I get tired, I don't get enough sleep, I am angry at everyone in a row, but most of all at myself. What happens in the end? And how can I force myself not to think about it?

Breathing, like the heartbeat or the work of other internal organs, is regulated by our body and does not need conscious control. Of course, we are able to change the depth and frequency of breathing, even to hold it for a while. However, during sleep, the onset of inhalation depends on the level of carbon dioxide in the blood, not on our desire or control.

Lack of air, both in sleep and in the waking state, can be a consequence of diseases of the respiratory system, cardiovascular system, upper respiratory tract, allergic reaction and many other physiological problems. In the absence of dyspnea during wakefulness, its appearance during sleep is highly doubtful. And a specific fear of stopping breathing precisely in a dream is associated with a certain state of the psychological properties of a person with a sound vector.

Everything that happens to us is the result, the response of our internal psychological processes. The way of world perception, perception of the world and world outlook is laid in each of us from birth. Realizing the properties given by nature throughout life, we ourselves bring the neurotransmitters of the central nervous system into a balanced state. This balance is felt by us as pleasure, satisfaction, joy, we feel positive, we like our life.

When there is no full realization, some properties remain without filling, the balance of biochemistry is disturbed, which leads to an inner feeling of suffering. We feel bad, no matter how we call our feelings - apathy, depression, melancholy, resentment, anger, irritability …

And here, too, each of us is individual, according to innate vector properties. Both shortages and stressful states in each vector are manifested quite characteristically.

Void breeds demons

The sound engineer in a more or less fulfilled and realized state does not feel any big problems with communication. "More or less", because a rare sound engineer in the modern world can be realized with all the might of his temperament. And, nevertheless, he is often quite an interesting interlocutor, although he is laconic, thoughtful, quiet, little emotional. The sound engineer loves solitude, feels quite comfortable in loneliness and silence, avoids too noisy events. It is easy for him to operate with abstract concepts, he is interested in topics of philosophy, religion, physics, music, fantasy or esotericism - everything that is connected with the search for the meaning of human existence, the essence of being, cognition of the Creator and oneself.

When the realization of sound properties occurs only partially and insufficiently, a deficit arises, deficiencies grow, a state of unfilledness leads to a negative inner feeling of discomfort. One or another sound load begins to be perceived by the sound engineer painfully, a sharp noise, loud sounds are heard more sharply than before.

In search of comfort, the sound engineer seeks solitude, communication becomes unpleasant. The material goods of the era of consumption cause only irritation. Everything seems meaningless and hopeless, interest in any activity is lost, apathy grows, which can give rise to depression.

Trying to somehow realize his needs, the sound engineer begins to concentrate more and more on himself, to lock himself in his own inner world, plunging deeper into dialogue with himself, leaving the painful reality of the world around him.

It is in this state that the deepest fears get their opportunity to surface and express themselves. In the sound vector, this is the fear of going crazy and the fear of stopping breathing in a dream. These fears are not as "replicated" and are not as colorfully described as visual fears and phobias, but they are quite real and significantly reduce the quality of life of a person with a sound vector.

An introvert sound person rarely dares to share his experiences with other people and, moreover, to ask for help, rather he will try to find the answer on his own. He even realizes that the problem is of a psychological nature, however, without a clear understanding of the mechanisms for implementing vector properties, the search for a solution is more like a lottery.

These crazy sound people

The sound fear of stopping breathing during sleep is due to the special self-feeling of the sound engineer. He associates himself with his body less than all other representatives of vectors. For him, "I" is something more than a bodily shell, rather it is a soul, spirit, mind, intellect, his thoughts, ideas. Carried away by the activity that interests him, the sound engineer is more often than others able to "forget" about food, drink, rest or other physiological needs of the body.

Sleep is a state of the body when not only the physical component of a person rests, but also the mental one. This is the time when the endless internal dialogue of the sound engineer stops, the flow of thoughts stops, the work of the mind is interrupted. If sleep is not disturbed, during this period there is a full rest, a break, a respite for the accumulation of energy, strength and opportunities to continue the process of realization of psychological properties.

The sound engineer, whose activity is associated with the continuous work of thought, understands that during sleep he does not control his mind, does not control himself, but simply turns off, and in general the prospect of waking up now depends on his physical body, an organism that he weakly associates with himself. For him, in this case, the whole meaning of his life, the ability to continue living and working is connected with the physiological processes of his body, which he always perceived as something mundane, material, and therefore “primitive”.

Self-control for a sound engineer means, first of all, to control his mind, it is with this that his fear of going crazy and his fear of stopping breathing in a dream is connected.

Receiving a full-fledged volume of realization of innate psychological properties during the day, the sound engineer is filled to such an extent that there is simply no time, no desire, or opportunity for any fears. When there is no realization, there is no point of application of abstract intelligence, a void grows, a vacuum, where obsessive thoughts return again and again, turning into a real problem with sleep, well-being and the general psychological and physical state of a person.

The solution of such problems is impossible without a clear understanding of the features of the sound vector, its properties, needs, desires, and hence the mechanisms for the development of negative states.

The solution of the most seemingly insoluble problems associated with sleep, communication with others, drugs, depression, suicidal thoughts and many others, speak in their reviews of many sound specialists who have undergone training in system-vector psychology.

Self-knowledge for the sound engineer becomes the key to consciously improving the quality of life. You can reveal the secret of your own inner world at the next free introductory lectures on system-vector psychology.
