For many years Anna Victoria German was one of the most beloved singers in the USSR. Soviet composers stood in line, vying with each other to offer her their songs. They knew that if Anna agreed to take them into her repertoire, then they would definitely make a hit that the whole country would sing.
The biggest reward for the composer is the moment when the song leaves the concert halls, goes out into the streets and squares, bursts out of the windows of houses, sounds at demonstrations in May and at the festive table. The songs performed by Anna German did not linger on the stage, they immediately became popular.

In the ninth grade, Anya had problems with classmates. Over the summer, she was so stretched out that the boys teased her with a watchtower. All her life she considered herself an ugly duckling, worried about her high growth and non-standard appearance. Anna was always very shy, insecure, afraid of the stage.

Then Herman graduated from the Faculty of Geology, but discovered her precious deposits in modern music. Why a geologist? This difficult profession to this day is fanned by the romance of evening bonfires and songs with a guitar, and most importantly, it involves, in a sense, a hermit.
It seemed, what could a girl with an angelic voice have to do with this purely male profession?
Taunts at Anna's growth injured her in the visual vector, since then she hid in every possible way, trying not to protrude. Solitude is also a salvation for people with a sound vector, this is what Anna was looking for. If the visual cutaneous ligament of vectors demanded demonstrative behavior from the girl, work for the audience, spectacular actions, then the sound muffled all visual emotions, making them moderate, and the behavior of the singer herself on stage and in life was restrained.

Luck smiled at Anna German as soon as she sang her first song at the audition, where her friend brought her. The Wroclaw Philharmonic offered her royal conditions - PLN 100 per concert. For her, mother and grandmother, it was a lot of money.
Anna goes on tour, this is how her creative life begins. It was then that Soviet composers would seek her attention, offering one song better than another, but for now Anna sang everything that the audience and her impresario wanted.
Lady is singing to herself, and who will buy it?
She was loved in the USSR. Her first disc was released not in Poland, but in Moscow. “Madam is singing to herself here, and who will buy it?” - someone in the Warsaw studio sneered when Anna was recording a new song with the orchestra. She was disliked in Warsaw, she was called to Moscow.
Anal-sound-visual xenophobes, with a temper from scratch, have nurtured Polish chauvinism in culture, art and not only. For them, this German girl, born on February 14, 1936, in the small Uzbek town of Urgench, has always been a stranger. For them, she continued to be Russian, and therefore unwanted.
In the Soviet Union, on the contrary, the Polish singer was considered their own, they were proud that she came from the same country with them, she spoke and sang perfectly in Russian. In the 1960s and 1970s, an elite Soviet culture still existed in the USSR, which was helped by socialist realism and strict censorship.
Anna with all her repertoire and behavior fit into her. For Polish pop music, which with all its might pursued Western mass culture, the manner of performance and the voice of Herman himself were, as they say today, unformatted.
It is known from the system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan that one of the functions of a skin-visual (CZ) female singer is to be a “troublemaker”. Her songs and dances around the fire are aimed at encouraging the male to aggressive actions.

Poland, politically, historically and culturally, has always turned its face to the West and its back to Russia, fussing between its own "benefit" and "benefit". Therefore, it is natural that musicians and performers who imitated the West in everything were much more in demand among the Polish audience than Anna Herman with her vocals and Soviet past.
Skin-visual Anna, no worse than other skin-visual women, fulfilled her specific role, which also consisted of singing songs. But the timbre of her voice, performing style and repertoire evoked a backlash from the audience. Herman sang about the stars, about God, about love. Her voice lulled, soothed, relieved stress, made you empathize and even cry.
As the dislike for Anna Herman increased, her relations with the Polish media, recording studios, producers, composers, and colleagues cooled. The latter were irritated by the fact that Herman had the highest fees and ratings for a Western star in the Soviet Union. The Minister of Culture Yekaterina Furtseva took care of this, with great sympathy for the Polish singer. Against this background, Anna's popularity and demand grew on Radio and Television in the USSR.
Polish colleagues considered Anna Herman an upstart. Skin envy haunted them, and until the end of her life, they could not forgive the singer for her huge audience love and popularity.
Why did the Soviet audience love her? For her voice - this, according to one famous composer, did not exist, does not exist and will never be again, for the warmth and sincerity with which she performed songs from her repertoire, for restraint and cordiality at the same time, for a special, close to Slavic, type beauty.

In 1967, Anna left for Italy. The contract was signed for 3 years, and on her unique voice the producers earned considerable capital for themselves, and the singer herself did not even have pocket money for a taxi. In Italy, Anna, as never before, suffered from publicity, from endless interviews, trying on shoes, clothes, wigs, searching for makeup, which absolutely changed the image of the singer. They tried to fit it to the Western European standard, they did everything to make the public like it.
She was tired of fashion houses, where they picked out clothes that were not tailored for her height, press conferences with stupid journalistic questions, working as a model, photo shoots, meetings at embassies and consulates. “When will I sing?” She asked the impresario. He just brushed it off - not the time, they say. The singer's unwinding machine was launched in Italian, at full capacity.
In Italian it means according to the principle of anal nepotism. The enterprising producer has connected his entire diverse family, close and distant relatives to the project "Anna German in Italy". These included owners of restaurants, fashion houses, recording studios and even journalists. Each of them was going to make money on this humble and patient polka.
Anna suffered from all this fuss and from the fact that in the event of a refusal and breaking of an enslaved contract, cunning Italians would hang on her a forfeit, which she would never pay. The question was resolved by itself.

Once, in order to save money on a hotel, a tipsy impresario, or, according to other sources, an accompanist, undertook to transport Anna to Milan without asking her consent. The driver was drunk, fell asleep while driving and had an accident on the way. Herman with grave injuries was taken to the clinic at the monastery, where instead of doctors she was looked after by nuns. Two weeks in a coma, six months in a cast and several years of rehabilitation.

Her condition was considered hopeless, she was unconscious for 14 days. Mom and Zbigniew came from Poland. Only after two weeks did the doctors begin to "mend the broken doll." At this difficult moment, when Anna was in a cast and on struts, Zbigniew proposes to her.
Herman met Zbyshek in 1960 on a city beach, when he asked a girl sitting next to him to look after his clothes. Since then, they have been together, parting only for the duration of the tour.
When Anna was transported to Poland, Zbyszek took full care of her. After the accident, Anna had a complete memory loss. Zbyszek brings a turntable with records into the room. Herman is surprised to learn that it turns out she was a singer. His love and support brought her back to life, helped her to her feet. Her husband taught Herman to take the first steps. She was embarrassed to show herself on crutches during the day, so they took walks at night.
After taking Anna from the hospital, Zbyshek moved her to his small apartment and made all kinds of orthopedic devices for her.
For men with a developed anal-visual ligament of vectors, love and fidelity take an important place in life. “Anna had a huge divine gift, which she was obliged to give to people,” - Zbigniew Tucholski will say after the death of his wife, answering journalists' questions whether popularity and huge audience love for the singer did not interfere with their personal happiness.

In 1970 Anna German took the stage again. The audience greeted her with a standing ovation of forty minutes. After that, she will sing for her audience for another 12 years. During this time, a son, Zbyshek Jr., will be born in the German-Tucholsky family. These years will be the flourishing of the singer's creativity. She will perform her best songs, which will be included in the Golden Fund of the Soviet stage. With them, Anna will unite the multimillion audience of the Soviet Union, and the audience will wait with bated breath for her appearance on stage and on the screen.
On August 26, 1982, Anna passed away. Zbigniew Tucholski will remain faithful to his great love forever. He himself raised his son and looked after his wife's elderly mother. In Poland, no one remembers Anna German for a long time. For Russians, she continues to be one of the most beloved performers, whose songs are listened to and sung, whose books, written in the most difficult years of life, are read.
The star of Anna Herman, a singer with a crystal voice, has not gone out, she continues to shine and burn, giving us great hope.
