Postpartum Depression - Understand and Conquer

Each woman has her own causes of stress after childbirth, depending on the characteristics of her psyche and innate properties. Postpartum depression, symptoms and treatment are individual. According to Yuri Burlan's System-Vector Psychology, which identifies eight different vectors of the human psyche, the following symptoms and patterns of depression after childbirth can be traced.

Fatigue and despair, mental and physical stupor, loss of understanding of what is happening, a state of passion and the likelihood of uncontrolled suicide. Postpartum depression instead of the joy of motherhood. Why exactly did this happen to me?

Nobody warned

In preparation for childbirth, we were told about postpartum depression. That everyone has depression. And everyone goes away. The course leaders themselves were mothers, most of them repeatedly. They argued that postpartum depression can occur after every birth, as an inevitable hormonal process.

Postpartum depression, its symptoms and signs for all were taught in the same way. And so I looked at these multiple mothers and saw that they were all right. If there were depression after every childbirth, then they have long gone without medical treatment. This observation inspired confidence that postpartum depression was not so terrible. That this is a natural process, like the birth itself. And that there are a number of proven remedies that allow you to survive the symptoms and consequences of postpartum depression with the least loss.

Since they have had and passed many times, there is nothing to worry about. All the more so for me - strong and smart. I have not gone through such depressions yet. I just by the look of these women understood that the postpartum depression, which they are talking about, specifically for me, is not depression.

And then came the harsh reality. But more about it later. For now, let's try to figure out what depression was discussed in the course.

Still warned, but not about that

The birth of a child makes tremendous changes in a woman's life. Especially if the child is the first. Or if it requires treatment. Change is stress. Hands may become discouraged, apathy and other signs known to every mother come. Something about this was discussed in the courses, calling it postpartum depression.

This is in general.

If we go to the private, then every woman has her own causes of stress after childbirth, depending on the characteristics of her psyche and innate properties. Postpartum depression, symptoms and treatment are individual. According to Yuri Burlan's System-Vector Psychology, which identifies eight different vectors of the human psyche, the following symptoms and patterns of depression after childbirth can be traced.

The psychological characteristics of women with a skin vector are such that they vitally need movement, changes, career growth, and health care. After childbirth, they are limited on all items on the list. Such non-realization of psychological properties leads to dissatisfaction, and, voila, depression after childbirth is already here.

But! A way out in this situation can be found - skin women are better than others who can realize their propensity for multitasking, often doing something besides caring for a child: work, self-care, etc. The birth of a child, although it limits the skin, but still 100%. Over time, she is able to adjust to the new way of life, and the symptoms of so-called depression disappear.

Postpartum depression in other women - with an anal vector - is stress from lack of stability and a change in the usual rhythm after the birth of the child. Every day with a baby is the apogee of improvisation. Frequent task changes and the need to constantly rush are destabilizing. For women with an anal vector, this is difficult, since it contradicts their properties. In a state of stress, they can fall into aggression, including towards the child.

Plus, the chaos in their house increased in the postpartum period - those who profess cleanliness - annoy them more than other women. In this case, treatment is possible in two ways. If there is someone to help, then the problem is solved. The number of unforeseen situations and confusion is minimized. If there is no one to help, then the anal woman eventually stops planning anything other than daily routine needs. It's groundhog day, but stable. For a woman with an anal vector, this is better than daily improvisation.

And, most importantly, all these hardships are balanced by the realization of the value of the family at the birth of a child! After all, the family for a woman with an anal vector is above all. This means that in this situation there are options for overcoming the postpartum "depression".

Carriers of the visual vector at the birth of a child may experience postpartum depression, the symptom of which is primarily fear: for the life and health of the child, for themselves, right up to panic attacks. Fear is an innate emotion of the visual vector. It may appear or worsen after the stress of childbirth. With insufficient realization of her mental properties, a woman projects fears onto anything, and the power of these fears is unknown to other vectors. These are the most "shaking" mothers over children.

Their condition is also affected by a decrease in the number of visual impressions and communication in the postpartum period. Sitting at home and walking around the same entrances every day devastates their soul, which gravitates towards visual beauty and emotional contact with others. But! As far as the owners of the visual vector are fearful, they are also loving.

It's like two sides of the same coin. Such women are able to love a child like no one else, realizing their innate (greater than others) sensual potential. And without understanding, without applying these properties, such a woman can go into fear and anxiety instead of love.

All the described cases, although they are called postpartum depression by the teachers of the courses, and by the mothers themselves, are not really depression. The conditions are grave, no doubt. But still not depression, but frustration from the inability to realize their innate properties.

Now about real depression

Postpartum depression does exist. It can occur in 5% of people - those who have a sound vector. It is the sound people who can experience real depression. Now people are multi-vector, that is, in one person there can be several different vectors, each with its own properties. But the sound vector dominates the rest. Non-realization in it blocks the possibility of realization in any other vector, bringing negative states to the extreme.

The specific role of the owner of the sound vector, which is often unconscious, is the cognition of the meaning of being, one's self. An innate property necessary for the implementation of this specific role is powerful abstract thinking. It requires two components to work:

  1. Concentration of thought. Not on myself, but on the outside world. For example, on some complex and abstract problem, from the field of exact sciences or any other. It can be music, or better composition. Meaningful writing or reading of texts. For a sound woman who has become a mother, it is necessary to find the possibility of regular mental focus.
  2. Adequate amount of silence. Screaming literally hurts the psyche of the sound engineer. Any cry he hears as if it does not fall into the ear from the outside, but is formed right inside the brain. The whole world is concentrated in this sound, as if nothing else exists at this moment. Baby crying is a real torture for a sound mom.

In addition, if their properties are not realized, sleep disturbances occur in sound specialists. They manifest themselves either as chronic drowsiness, the need for a longer (14-16 hours) sleep to rest from depressive reality, which is impossible with a small child. Or as insomnia, finally exhausting a young mother.

Harsh reality

After the birth of a child, a sound woman often loses the conditions for the realization of her innate properties. She experiences the strongest frustration and the inability to get out of the situation.

  • Concentration - zero. The child takes all the attention. Short intervals of 2 hours between feedings are busy with diapers, regurgitation, pumping, at best a minute shower, the opportunity to run to the toilet, have something to eat. Even if the husband is ready to be with the child, one has only to retire to another room with the intention of concentrating on the book or simply on his thoughts, the child begins to cry, whine, call his mother. Lots of distractions keep you from focusing.
  • Silence is zero. Of course, sometimes the child is silent, but during this time the sound mother barely manages to recover from the last shout, which still continues to sound in her head. In the truest sense of the word. At the level of sensations, silence does not occur in principle. Even a quiet, but negatively colored whining of a child causes a mental stupor, turns off the thinking ability and self-control. And if in the vector set, for example, there is also an anal vector, then annoying sounds trigger aggression.

Depression of a sound engineer is understandable only to the same sound engineer. Others understand postpartum depression in a general sense. It may happen that even the closest people - mother and husband - will not accept the cry for help. "All the rest somehow cope with children, which means that you are just a mum and a weakling." "There is nothing special about your postpartum difficulties." Here are their thoughts. It's cruel, but it happens.

Women with an unfilled sound vector often have trouble sleeping. If the child was also born with some health features, or cries a lot, or does not get off his hands at all, then the state of depression in such a mother is exacerbated. First of all, due to the inability to concentrate, at least minimally realize oneself. Intolerance to lack of sleep, noise is just a manifestation of the lack of realization of innate desires in sound.

Only the above-described condition is actually postpartum depression. The rest is just heavy stress.

Personal experience

Postpartum depression. I went through this personally. Signs of true sound postpartum depression are very different. “Floating” space before the eyes - probably, shamans bring themselves to such a state with loud drumming. No thoughts at all - mental paralysis from stress.

At times I was not aware of myself. More precisely, at some point, when the realization came, I realized that there was no time before that. Sometimes I could hardly remember what happened during this time interval. I was afraid of such "falling out" of awareness against the background of depression. I had a stable feeling that if a rational thought about self-preservation did not arise in time, then I could jump out the window, and the child would be left without a mother. Because that was my only desire. Bitter tears burst out every time the child finally fell asleep and did not see my face.

There was a moment of depression when the desire for suicide became so strong that even the child did not stop. It was the only time in my life when I dropped everything and rushed off to skydive. I was always afraid of this and was not going to be so "entertained". But at that moment I had to realize the desire to jump out the window in any way compatible with life.

Step out of the plane and free fall - I internally said goodbye to my husband and daughter. And I didn't care. I imagined that I was jumping without a parachute or that the automatic parachute deployment system might not work. The jump didn’t cure depression, but it did allow it to survive.

Postpartum depression is a sad picture. Unfortunately, then I did not have the knowledge of how to help myself, and I just survived day after day. Moments from one now to the next now. As in the war.

Treating any type of depression

To protect yourself as much as possible from postpartum depression and its symptoms, you need to understand yourself - where exactly to lay the straws. System-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan explains the causes and symptoms of depression in an accessible way. This prior (pre-natal) knowledge is enough to take the right preventive measures and completely eliminate the possibility of deep stress. After giving birth, if "depression" has already begun, understanding your own psyche will serve as an effective treatment on the same principle.

For the sound vector, knowing oneself through system-vector psychology greatly facilitates the condition. This will no longer be depression in the full sense of the "diagnosis". In itself, understanding what is happening is already a cure. You are gaining ground in the postpartum period instead of a global misunderstanding. You forgive yourself for not coping as well as other moms. And stop blaming yourself.

You see your maternal strengths that others do not. You understand exactly how you differ from others. And, in the rare moments of free minutes, you stop using other people's (useless for you) recipes for treatment or distraction from postpartum depression - walking, having fun, chatting with a friend, everything that is recommended in preparation courses for childbirth.

If a sound woman was lucky to get acquainted with the system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan before giving birth, then the effect of deafening surprise is excluded, as it was in my case. If the acquaintance happened already against the background of depression, then gradually postpartum depression ends, since the knowledge of system-vector psychology itself is a direct realization of abstract intelligence and the fulfillment of the sound task of comprehending meaning. That is, it brings a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment to the sound woman.

And the sooner this acquaintance occurs, the better, since the lost time is identical to the volume of the “burnt out” psyche of the sound engineer, which is more difficult to restore than to preserve. System-vector psychology also teaches you to focus on other people, thus realizing the innate properties of a sound person. It's like a tool that, after mastering, is always in the arsenal. Its use reduces the severity of postpartum depression. And when the dominant influence of the lack of the sound vector is removed, the properties of other vectors - love, care, multitasking - begin to appear, bringing the joy of motherhood.

Here's what the trained women have to say about it:

PS And if you have a sound vector, hire a nanny housekeeper if possible! Or negotiate help with your friends. Better before childbirth, not after.
