Moral education of preschoolers: a systemic response to the demand of society
Today, personal growth, material and property superiority are at the forefront. How to ensure the moral education of our children under these conditions and on what basis should it be built? What measures of education will help to raise a generation of not only “materially successful”, but also spiritually developed, deeply moral people?
With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the old system of moral education of children was lost, and the new one never appeared. Twenty-five years of her absence has led to the fact that today we are faced with a wave of mass child aggression and cruelty. It is obvious that the moral education of preschoolers and schoolchildren, or rather the lack of a system of such education, plays a key role in this.
Today, personal growth, material and property superiority are at the forefront. How to ensure the moral education of our children under these conditions and on what basis should it be built? What measures of education will help to raise a generation of not only “materially successful”, but also spiritually developed, deeply moral people?
Causes of the moral crisis
In order to deeply understand the reasons for the crisis in which our society found itself, a systematic analysis of the causes of what is happening is necessary.
The current era in which we live, Yuri Burlan's system-vector psychology calls the skin phase of development. It is characterized by the values of individualism, benefit and benefit, property and social superiority. Features of the era leave an imprint on all spheres of life, including the upbringing of children: both preschoolers and schoolchildren.
America and European countries with a skin mentality entered this era most easily, because it fully relied on their natural system of values. The situation on the territory of the post-Soviet space was completely different.
Russian bread will not be born in a foreign manner
The values of the dermal phase of development are directly opposite to the mentality of the Russian people. We, as Yuri Burlan's system-vector psychology explains, has a communal and collectivist mentality. The system of our moral foundations was based on unity and mutual assistance, mercy and justice.
The collapse of the Soviet state led to a crisis in moral education. We tried to adapt the individualistic values of the new era, to apply them to ourselves. Unfortunately, this has led to the loss of our own identity and the destruction of the moral norms that are natural for our mentality.
Differences in the moral imperative
How do they live in the West? Don't they have any moral standards? And if so, why weren't we able to adapt them with the transition to a new phase of development?
The countries of the West, as Yuri Burlan's system-vector psychology explains, rely on standardized moral norms. Human relations are regulated by law. The moral education of children of both school age and preschoolers also consists in teaching the child to follow the moral norms enshrined in the laws.
Everything is different for our communal and collectivist mentality. For us, in a good way, “the law is not written”, because we live with our hearts. Therefore, the upbringing of children should be calculated so that moral values become part of themselves, find a response in the heart. How to do it? How to ensure proper moral education for the younger generation?
On the moral formation of a child
Raising children in our mentality implies the formation of a special moral feeling in a child, which serves as an internal navigator in relations with people. Such a moral feeling arises in a child born in the Russian urethral-muscular mentality through the perception of the category of shame.
Remember yourself, did your parents tell you during your upbringing: “Don't do this, it's illegal”? Of course not, our inner moral sense is much closer to the concept of "shame".
Ashamed in front of whom? Before people, before society. The values of the community and collectivist mentality imply the priority of the common over the personal, and we absorb this with mother's milk.
Education through the category of social shame forms in the child a deep moral feeling, the desire to realize his qualities in such a way as to bring the maximum benefit to society. This applies to both preschoolers and schoolchildren.
The loss of these natural moral guidelines for our society led to a crisis at the level of the whole society, including in matters of raising children.
Fit into the realities of time
The values of the skin era stubbornly dictate their own: personal growth, material and property superiority, success. And the natural mentality of the Russian people comes into serious conflict with this: our inner “navigator” is calm only when we realize ourselves for the good of society. What to do?
It can be difficult even for adults to resolve this internal contradiction. And in matters of the moral education of children, we sometimes just find ourselves helpless.
A way out of this impasse was found in the system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan. She explains in detail how we can help a child develop his individuality, and at the same time give our children the necessary basics of moral education that form the unity of our society.
Education of preschoolers and schoolchildren within social groups
The laying of moral guidelines implies the conscious inclusion of the child in our natural community mentality. The moral sense of preschoolers originates from upbringing in the family as a primary social group.
At the family level, we can develop compassion and compassion for the weak in a preschooler through helping a grandmother or an elderly neighbor, through visiting a sick friend, etc.
As for the moral education of preschoolers within the kindergarten group, the main task is to form the unity of the group. This is possible through a systematic understanding of the psychological characteristics of each baby.
At the school level, we can continue the formation of the moral foundations of children through the recreation of Timurov's movements, joint educational assistance to a lagging child in the classroom, a joint visit to a sick classmate, etc.
What about personal success?
Personal success in the conditions of our mentality is possible only when a person successfully develops and maximizes his natural properties for the benefit of society. Only in this case, nothing contradicts your own moral sense, and personal success is also achievable.
But raising children should be approached on the basis of psychological literacy. In order for a child to realize his abilities and talents, parents and teachers must accurately determine what set of vectors (innate qualities and properties) nature has endowed him with.
Elimination of psychological illiteracy
