By realizing our true desires and enjoying life, we will not be able to hate other people. When we understand the motives of other people's behavior, we do not have rejection, and more often - deep sympathy for the state that pushes them to unpleasant actions. This is what the filmmakers tried to convey to us. But they showed only the reasons, and the way out of the situation of total hatred, dislike and lies in society is in the knowledge of the psyche.

The relationship of our heroes is saturated with lies and covered with a beautiful facade. Vera rejoices at the expensive watch - Andrey's gift. But to the mother's question whether she loves him, he answers: "Mom, you perfectly understand that family relationships are built on completely different principles." Vera and Anya have their own ideas about family happiness, thanks to the upbringing of mother Rita.
Rita replicates her bad experience. The ex-husband, the father of Vera, is a loser, a sofa-sitter, an alcoholic, and she is a hard worker, working at the institute during the day and cleaning the floors in the evening. She raised children alone. And she learned one lesson from this situation: a man is a potential danger. And you only need it to spin it up for money. What she has been doing all her life, "successfully" attaching her girls to rich men. First, to Andrei - he, bound by a sense of guilt before Vera for a secret relationship with Anna, contains both women. Then Anyuta to Artem, literally pushing her into the arms of a mad lover.
Once again, relationships begin with lies and manipulation. Here the mother and daughter are showing off hysterics, trying to pity Artyom so that he will pay for Vera's treatment. Here Anya presents herself as a victim of Andrei's violence in order to again cause a surge of sympathy in Artyom. Meanwhile, the victim of manipulation is on the hook. At the moment when a man saves a woman, his attraction flares up especially strongly, and he can no longer not think about this woman.
Will Artem and Anna be able to overcome such a beginning? Hardly, despite all their hopes and efforts. Nothing will work out unless suffering teaches them to listen to each other. Because there is no understanding of how to create and maintain a truly happy relationship. They do not know anything about the importance of an emotional connection in a couple, about sincerity, openness, the desire to help each other.
Rita feels that the unshakable foundations of her understanding of the world and relationships are crumbling under the pressure of personal troubles. A young lover Potap, her toy, almost a pet, leaves her. All her diktat comes back like a boomerang. At the end of the film, this is an old, tired woman who realizes that she is left alone.
"We need to unite!" she says to her daughters. Only on what? On a lie again? Or "the best way to mend a relationship is to unite against the third" - on hatred?
That is why it’s hard to believe in the proposed happy ending, despite the fact that the problems were left behind and the whole family gathered at the table again, as before, as if nothing had happened. Nothing changed. And the talk is still the same - about fashionable furniture and Rita's breast implants.
Fathers and Sons. Ilya and Lida

Children suffer the most from lying. Ilya does not believe that Vera does not notice the long-term relationship between Andrei and Anna, because they almost do not hide it. He disappears from the house so that his mother finally wakes up, stops lying that everything is fine in their family.
He meets with the same crazy patient of Boris Kaufman, Lydia Bruskova, who convinces him to flee to America. Ilya agrees, because he does not see any prospects in this deceitful world. If he had not made the decision to disappear, everything in the family would have remained the same.
Although he does not make decisions himself. He is weak-willed, does not know what he wants in life. Previously, all decisions were made for him by his mother. She constantly shoved money into him, but was not at all interested in what her son was living. He was a dignified, handsome, obedient addition to her successful life. Only after losing him, she realized that she did not know him at all and determined his life based on her own desires.
Ilya has lost his moral guidelines. He needs money, and he sells information about his father's affairs to Artem, becoming the reason for the parent's bankruptcy.
After leaving the family, Ilya falls entirely under the rule of Lida, whose decisions are dictated by hatred of the entire human race. Lida is the owner of the sound vector, suffering from schizophrenia. At the sessions of Boris Kaufman, she reveals her philosophical vision of life.
It is this sound depth, combined with the mysterious rebellion of her soul, the imprint of a mental illness, that attracts men to her so that they cannot tear themselves away. So in her networks are the ex-husband Vladimir Bruskov, Boris Kaufman, the robber Sergei Baryshev, Ilya Smolin. With difficulty, they manage to escape from the tenacious hands of this Angel of Death, who defines his life credo as follows: “Good is what suits me. The rest is evil."
The skin-sound bunch of vectors allows its owner to be incredibly inductive, infect with an idea, almost hypnotize with the power of his conviction. That is why it is so difficult to believe in her madness. Rather, you believe in her vulnerability, defenselessness.
Her mother Larisa, a housekeeper in the Smolins' house, recalls that Lida was envious from birth, sensitive to the success of others. In kindergarten, wishing her friend's dress, she lured her into the basement and pushed her. The girl fell, hit her head on the battery and died. And Lida put on her dress, came to the girl's parents and sat down at the table, calling herself their daughter.
Children are not developed, but we make them evil geniuses. They have not yet been taught culture, the sense of their neighbor. They need to instill it. They come into this world with properties set by nature. And it depends only on us whether we, adults, will develop these properties so that the child can then take place in life, be happy.
Lida's mother made a terrible record in the fate of Lida. After the incident in kindergarten, she turned on the gas burner and thrust Lida into the flame with her face. The girl's ear was burned. For a skin sound specialist, this is a blow to the erogenous zone, the most sensitive place. The stress of incredible strength, which, most likely, broke down the girl's mental health.

And this is the life position of Sasha Kaufman's mother - Katya: to pretend that everything is fine, just not to change anything. Let everything remain as it is - expensive restaurants, boutiques, an elite yoga club. And it doesn't matter that the husband is cheating, and the daughter is mired in drugs. She is only sympathetic to her pet dog, which was kicked by her friend Vera, and then her daughter Sasha was hanged on a bitch. In protest. How else can you get through to your mother, since the dog is the only thing that is dear to her ?!
Sasha adopts the experience of his parents. “The main thing is that everything LOOKS normal,” she tells the investigator. She lives a double life. With Ilya, they play a play about two happy lovers, because their parents want it so. And behind the scenes, a completely different life unfolds.
At 13 Sasha brings scabies, then syphilis, then goes into drugs. Everything in her room has already been sold, and Katya's jewelry is kept in a safe at Boris's work. Sasha, at her 18 years old, is a finished man with no future.
What do they need - children of rich parents who have everything? Why don't they have desires? Why do they use drugs? Why do they seek to escape from the country to the West?
A person develops when he has unfulfilled desires. Lack creates tension, and a person begins to do something to fulfill his desire: think, develop, do something in the direction of the desired goal. In today's prosperous world, many children from wealthy families have everything. And parents must understand this, deliberately creating a shortage for them. Don't give everything as soon as the desire arises. And to create an opportunity to earn money, to earn the realization of desire.
And children also crave love - not ostentatious, measured by material gifts, but genuine, based on an understanding of their child, his true needs. Children need development in line with their natural talents. It is up to the parent to spot these talents. And for this he must be able to distinguish between the natural desires and abilities of the child.
Observing the world, fettered by lies, corruption, nepotism, total hatred, children do not see the future in it. That is why America seems to them as a place where they can realize their talents.

Housekeeper Larisa becomes the main prosecutor of the residents of the Garden Ring. Constantly present as an imperceptible shadow in the Smolins' house, she sees everything and understands everything. She has good reason to hate these rich and arrogant people: "I'm tired of raking all this dirt."
On the other hand, hatred of ordinary people, undisguised snobbery, shows through in all the statements of its owners. Only Vera treats Larissa as an equal. The rest openly insult her, calling her a servant, showing her her place.
In the conversations between Rita and Ani, their special position in society is constantly emphasized. Anya hints to investigator Kogtev about his "one-dimensional consciousness." Rita tries to show Anna her difference from ordinary people with their smelly soup, phone on credit and unpretentious happiness. "Cattle who don't fit in anything can have children, but I can't?" Anna explodes.
The poor hate the rich, the rich hate the poor. Wives - husbands, children - parents. But on closer inspection, we see that everyone has the same problems. It's just that the poor steal in small ways, and the rich in large numbers. But this does not change the essence of theft.
We don't like our voids, the frustrations that we project onto other people. It is from our bad conditions that hatred for people arises, and not because people have done us badly.
