To analyze means to go from the general to the particular (as opposed to synthesis). The anal child breaks what is given to him into particulars and puts it in a certain sequence, creating a system. It is sometimes useful to listen to these associations: the child will easily say what outrages or offends him, he gives out the most vivid association, what lies on the surface. In any case, you do not need to scold him. Regardless, continue to explain the task and its solution. Nod, agree, do not blame, and the child will begin to analyze the information. Slowly, maybe wrong, but he will start doing it. And this effort should be adequately rewarded with praise. In the process of solving, children often stumble, slow down - be patient, do not drive or scold, he moves, this is the main thing, and acceleration will come with experience.

Often offended children are confident in advance that they will not succeed. They simply do not start reading and understanding, giving up in advance. So he could be influenced by criticism, humiliation, or even simply lack of praise commensurate with his efforts. How to dissuade him? Ask him to do something and, having consistently walked with him all the way of solving (writing), show that everything is working out for him. He will immediately find an excuse: "It's not me, it's us together, and I myself can't." Continue to give the child the same tasks of the same type, gradually participating in the process less and less, giving him independence. A diligent anal child can handle it. And when for the 10th time he succeeds, praise him, emphasizing that he did it himself. Giving a child confidence in his abilities is a matter that takes time.
