"The Teacher" is a film about a real teacher and a generation that has not been lost. Part 1
An attempt to cope with an uncontrollable class ends up with a pistol in the hand of Alla Nikolaevna, the “teacher,” which she takes from her student Shilovsky. From this moment, the most important lesson in the life of 11 "A" grade students begins …
School - past and present
Alla Nikolaevna, history teacher, hereditary teacher, has been working at the school for 40 years. But every year it becomes more difficult to work. It's not about age. She does not see the result of her labor. And he comes to the conclusion: “These are not children. These are weakened organisms, incapable of learning "," Teachers are not needed, but managers are needed who organize the process of obtaining knowledge."
Another lesson in 11 "A" grade causes heart pain. Not only did the director of the school, a former student of Agnessa Andreevna, just scolded for not meeting the requirements of the educational standard (“I am a bad teacher”), but these ignoramuses don’t give a dime. All they need is electronic toys, money, clothes, success. Who needs a story today?
An attempt to cope with an uncontrollable class ends up with a pistol in Alla Nikolaevna's hand, which she takes from her student Shilovsky. From this moment, the most important lesson in the life of 11 "A" grade students begins.
Locked in the classroom, the teacher intends to give all students a history exam. Although she is more interested in what they are, what are their plans for life and what they will come to if they do not change their views on education and relationships between people.
Let's watch the movie "The Teacher" using system-vector thinking. Behind the quite obvious message of the picture, we will reveal the full depth of human relationships, see the problems and try to outline solutions.
Is the education system a service sector or the cradle of man and citizen?
The film raises important issues in the field of modern education. They are shown in quick strokes at the very beginning of the film - in the melancholy reflections of Alla Nikolaevna, in the conversations of teachers in the teacher's room, in the daily routine of an ordinary school day. Which immediately gives the impression of a dead end and hopelessness.
An important component left the school - the upbringing of children. Even among teachers, there is an opinion that the school is a place of violence against the individual, that parents bring up, and the task of the school is to give children knowledge. And the personal business of the students is whether or not to take them. Thus, the school disclaims responsibility for the main result - the upbringing of a personality useful to society and happy.
The director of the school scolds the honored and experienced teacher for not passing the certification on time. At school, there is a shift in emphasis on reporting, paperwork. A good teacher has to take time off from children in order to meet the educational standard. Certification turns out to be more important than what is invested in children. The director no longer teaches as before. His main tool in the modern world of consumption is the calculator.
Society feels dislike and hostility towards schools. Suspicions of corruption (and then “there is only one step to terrorism”), the attitude towards the service sector, disrespect for the teacher, which, of course, is passed on to children are becoming commonplace. Children behave the way adults show them.
This situation is understandable. As Yuri Burlan's System-Vector Psychology says, the world is in the cutaneous phase of development, in which money, success, and consumption become the main values. Russia is forced to live under the pressure of circumstances, to adapt to new requirements, to adopt Western experience, which has been accumulated in line with skin values.
However, this experience does not lie on the basis of the urethral-muscular mentality characteristic of Russians, it causes wild contradictions and internal breakdown. Morality, our inner guideline, is replaced by morality, the highest justice and mercy - by law, collectivism - by individualism, creative approach - by a single standard. "If there was today's standard, Gagarin would not have flown into space."
The result is a massive loss of a basic sense of security and safety. After all, when a person is forced to live in contradiction with his attitude, it is always a psychological trauma. We are all traumatized, so the animosity is overwhelming. And we see the manifestation of this hostility throughout almost the entire film.
Is a generation lost?
Alla Nikolaevna believes that the generation is lost, that the previous generations of her graduates were better. Her students - school director Agnessa Andreevna, special forces colonel Kadyshev, who came to the emergency call at the school, certainly appear before us as very positive heroes, capable of self-sacrifice, caring citizens of their country. What can not be said about her current students, about whom she says: “You spit on everyone. You only love yourself. You only hear yourself."
On the one hand, she is right: the Soviet school differed from the modern one by a greater correspondence to the urethral mentality of the Russian people, in which the general was always placed above the personal, in which all the children were ours, therefore a lot of attention was paid to their development. The values of the anal vector were honored, so the teacher was a respected person, and the school was a temple of science. Of course, all these values are lost in the modern Russian school, which nowadays refers to the service sector in a skin-like manner.
On the other hand, we hear the assertion that children are becoming more terrible in every generation. They say that in our time children were better, but now they are ignorant, scumbags. This is how a person perceives the world with an anal vector, for whom the past is of greater value than the present.
There have always been contradictions between teachers and students, fathers and children. How not to recall in this regard the films "Scarecrow", "Dear Elena Sergeevna" so beloved by us, in which the same questions are raised - where is such cruelty in children, who is to blame for this?
The reasons for the contradictions between generations are not in time, but in a lack of understanding of the human psyche. Children are not worse. They are different. With each generation, the volume of their mental, the power of desires increases. They feel more sharply everything that is presented by adults, they literally grasp on the fly what is in the air. They are born more capable and even more brilliant than we adults. In the film, this is very vividly shown by the example of Dmitry Ilyich Biryukov - a computer genius and hacker of about nine years old, who, according to the knowledge of modern technologies, will plug any adult into the belt.
To find an approach to such children, you need to understand them. The old methods of upbringing with a belt or a shout no longer work with them. They acutely feel the pressure on their properties and rebel. Individualism is growing. In the conditions of abundance in which modern children grow up, you need to know exactly how to ask them a desire for development, which does not arise in a person when he has everything.
And at the same time, with all their mental baggage accumulated by previous generations, these are still children who have not fully developed. Their cultural layer has not yet completed its formation, it is fragile. Teenagers, getting together, become like a pack of animals. They are fighting for rank, ready to gnaw each other's throats in a conflict situation.
And adults in any case should not let this process take its course. Children should not be allowed to completely determine what to do and what not, because these are still unformed personalities. They do not yet fully understand the importance of education and culture. Therefore, the responsibility to develop them, to find their place in life lies with adults and teachers in particular. Alla Nikolaevna, the "teacher", understands this, but her hands give up.
What is the ideal teacher?
She has an anal-visual mix of vectors - perfect for her high school history teacher. The purpose of a person with an anal vector is the transfer of knowledge and experience to subsequent generations. He does it talentedly, brilliantly. Interest in history is due to the desire of a person with an anal vector to value the past. It is extremely important to him. How else can you transfer the accumulated accurately and without distortion?
As the owner of the visual vector, Alla Nikolaevna instills culture and morality in children. She definitely feels her task and even voices it in that memorable lesson: “You are all worthless, small, ignorant monsters who do not even try to become people. On the contrary, you do everything to avoid becoming one. And my task is to direct you on the path of truth and reason, so that you do not dishonor yourself and your country … My task is to fill you with knowledge, open new horizons of life. And if I succeed in this, I will achieve the highest goal of my work - the education of the individual."
But it is difficult for a person with an anal vector to adapt to skin time, consumer and rapidly changing, especially when it seems that everything is against you. An anal person often has a heart breakdown when he cannot adapt to such a world. The heart is his weak point. That is why Alla Nikolaevna has a pain.
She does not see worthy appreciation and gratitude for her work, which is so important for a person with an anal vector. She is desperate. She doesn't know what to do, and then the gun becomes the last and only argument.
At this moment, the viewer's sympathy is not on the teacher's side. She looks like a lost, weak person who hates children.
And yet - why does this argument work? Why are children imbued with the values of compassion, collectivism, respect for adults? Is violence the only thing that helps in such a situation? What was the true lesson the "teacher" taught the children?
