Moral and moral degeneration as an unconscious motive of lone terrorists: how to recognize and prevent?

This article is the first work in the history of the world scientific press dedicated to the syndrome of moral and ethical degeneration (MND), the causes and methods of prevention of which were discovered by Yuri Burlan.

In the second issue for 2014. scientific journal included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation, a new publication was published based on the system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan.

This article is the first work in the history of the world scientific press dedicated to the syndrome of moral and ethical degeneration (MND), the causes and methods of prevention of which were discovered by Yuri Burlan. MND is the name the discoverer defined for this extremely socially dangerous syndrome. Now the motives of MND carriers in such a psychopathological state, which can potentially lead to mass killings of people and are often accompanied by suicidal tendencies, are systematically understood.

By the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 26/15 of June 17, 2011, the journal "Historical and Social-Educational Thought" was included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals in psychological specialties.

Moral and moral degeneration as an unconscious motive of lone terrorists: how to recognize and prevent?

Annotation:

The article examines the syndrome of moral and ethical degeneration (MND) discovered by Yuri Burlan - a state of dysfunction and personality deformation that often manifests itself in the mass murder of people and is often accompanied by suicidal tendencies. The reasons for the behavior of an individual with MND syndrome with complete preservation of the intellect and a clear understanding of the consequences of their actions are considered from the position of the system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan. On the basis of this newest psychological paradigm, methods of early diagnosis of the risk group for MND syndrome have been determined, in which only carriers of the sound vector in a dysfunctional state fall. In addition, preventive measures have been developed to prevent MND syndrome.

In the modern world, the harmful consequences of psychological illiteracy are felt more and more at all levels of personal and social processes. Humanity in general, and Russian society in particular, is in a severe contradiction between the patterns of a consumer society and the sense of the meaninglessness of existence, embracing an increasing number of people. The statistics of suicides in Russia is disappointing, as, indeed, in the world. There are not isolated cases of mass murders that are committed by criminals with suicidal tendencies in their inner psychic. A typical scenario of such a terrorist act is committed by one person, after careful solo preparation. A suicide attempt may follow a terrorist attack, or a hypertrophied mortido trend in a surviving killer is found after, during investigative measures and forensic psychiatric examination. Often, the killer hopes that in the process of a terrorist act he will be killed by law enforcement agencies. In all cases, the perpetrator of the massacre lacks a sense of the value of life, even his own.

In addition to the well-known cases of Anders Breivik, Dmitry Vinogradov, Adam Lanza, smaller-scale terrorist attacks were also recorded that were committed by individuals in different cities. The task of preventing such crimes is especially acute. Standard forensic methods do not work here: a criminal prepares for murder alone, his social circle is usually very narrow. Non-systemic medico-psychiatric methods of preventing terrorist acts committed by lone individuals are also ineffective: most of the examinations carried out indicate the full legal capacity of the criminals at the time of the murders.

Even if a certain mental disorder of the killer is detected ("Asperger's syndrome" in Adam Lanza, "dysthymia" in Dmitry Vinogradov), according to experts, such diagnoses do not affect the decision to make bloodshed. It is known that among people suffering from Asperger's syndrome, there are many quite socialized people with an above average intelligence and stable interests - these are the founders of corporations, leading businessmen, scientists. Dysthymia also cannot be the cause of this type of terrorism; Usually such a diagnosis in "classical" psychotherapeutic practice is made when there are not enough symptoms for a full-fledged depressive disorder. In P. B. Gannushkin's description of the constitutional-depressive personality type, which is prone to dysthymia, one can trace outlines of some of those propertieswhich the system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan refers to as characteristic of the carriers of the sound vector in a certain state. For example, Gannushkin writes: “In its pure form, this group is not numerous … We are talking about persons with a constantly low mood. The picture of the world seems to be covered with a mourning veil for them, life seems meaningless, in everything they are looking for only dark sides. They are born pessimists”[2]. Peter Borisovich Gannushkin did a fairly good clinical description of dysthymic individuals for his time. And today we know, thanks to the system-vector paradigm [7], that this is a partial description of the “unfilled” sound vector.“In its pure form, this group is not numerous … We are talking about persons with a constantly low mood. The picture of the world seems to be covered with a mourning veil for them, life seems meaningless, in everything they are looking for only dark sides. They are born pessimists”[2]. In connection with the above, it is logical to assume that the roots of the problem lie not in the mental disorders known since the last century in persons who commit mass murders alone, and not in the inferiority of their intellect, but in the sphere of subconscious and unconscious processes that determine the moral and moral decay of the personality to the point where a person is capable of the most cruel, inhuman and unjustified actions. Unfortunately, diagnoses from old textbooks on forensic psychiatry do not allow to create a complete picture of this phenomenon and to develop an effective set of preventive measures.

Based on the knowledge of only past centuries, specialists of the corresponding profile, formally confirmed by diplomas, were not able to proactively differentiate a potential lone terrorist, isolate him from the flow of consultants. There are widely known cases when future killers visited standard psychotherapeutic rooms before committing terrorist attacks.

The discovery made by Yuri Burlan in the 21st century - the syndrome of moral and ethical degeneration (MND), or secondary autism - fully explains and allows to develop measures for the early prevention of such phenomena. For the first time, the author of the newest psychological paradigm was able to describe in detail those unconscious motives and false rationalizations that are the cause of the horrific cases of single terrorism for the whole society, and also to develop clear and understandable measures to prevent the development of this syndrome in individuals with certain systemic properties.

System-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan proceeds from the concept of the eight-dimensional nature of the unconscious and reveals the pattern of its functioning and development at the individual, interpersonal, group and mental levels. “Eight erogenous zones, pronounced and observed in the human body, found their connection with character traits and, in general, with the outlook, world outlook and all human activity. This connection is called "vector" - a set of innate properties, desires, abilities that determine a person's thinking, his values and the way he moves through life. Eight vectors of realization of the principle of pleasure, their combinations add up the exact matrix of the unconscious. Depending on the set of vectors in a person, the degree of their development and social fulfillment, stable life scenarios are formed, and in some cases also complexes”[7].

Differentiating a person's unconscious desires by vectors set from birth in the macropsychological circuit that determines the natural desires and properties of the psyche [7], one can not only understand the causes of degenerative manifestations of the mental, but also predict such manifestations with a sufficient degree of accuracy. The psychopathological picture of MND does not develop immediately. This is the result of a combination of emptiness in the sound vector [5] coupled with frustrations in the anal vector [3], the prerequisites for which, in turn, are often laid even before the end of puberty due to the negative pressure of the external environment on the vector properties of the individual. A moral-moral degenerate loses a sense of the reality of the external world, and certain communicative personality structures characteristic of a person as a social being regress.

So, secondary autism, or MND, is a form of mental pathology in a certain vector combination. A special social danger of this phenomenon lies in the fact that before the expression of moral and ethical degeneration in asocial acts with the injured innocent people, the carrier of the MND syndrome is practically unrecognizable for people who are not familiar with the methodology of system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan.

MND does not disrupt the normal vital activity of the body, does not affect the ability to maintain homeostasis physiologically, and is not the cause of a person's limited energy and functional capabilities, as opposed to pathogenic factors. Homeostasis of the moral degenerate is normal.

Only in the damaged sound vector do tendencies towards MND appear. The MND syndrome manifests such a degree of hostility and escape from the outside world against the background of the loss of universal human landmarks and a sense of the reality of being that its bearer is capable of unlawful actions, acting as a lone terrorist. Without MND syndrome, embodied in a sick sound vector, the commission of such crimes against humanity, horrifying the entire society, would be impossible.

The successful life realization of any vector set (the result of the mutual influence of several vectors) involves the removal of properties outward, in return for the general benefit of the group, society. This is the law of human survival as a gregarious, social creature. The development of vector properties occurs before the end of puberty. Then, in attempts to realize what is developed (or underdeveloped), various life scenarios take shape. The dominant vector (for example, the sound one [5]) subordinates to itself the synergy of the entire vector set, imposing a special imprint on the psychic of a person.

In a developed, filled state, the sound vector carries tremendous opportunities for understanding the world. Almost all the recognized geniuses of mankind are the owners of the sound vector, they are the creators of theoretical sciences and world religions, the discoverers of the secrets of the macrocosm and elementary particles, great musicians and writers. No social formation is capable of progressing without healthy and realized sound people with their abstract intelligence.

Even in an unconscious, non-verbalized form, the leitmotif of sound search distinguishes it from other vectors that are capable of being filled with desires of material properties. Questions about the meaning of life to one degree or another may arise not only among carriers of the sound vector, but only for a sound engineer the answer to them is vital. The reasons for this psycho-parametric scatter are revealed in detail by Yuri Burlan in a series of author's lectures on system-vector psychology. In [5], the characteristics of the sound modality are given in the vector basis.

Setting an adequate task for sound intelligence is of colossal importance. This is not only a way to educate a developed sound engineer, but also to prevent risks to society from the threat of MND. Filling his sound search with the knowledge of truth, developing his ability to concentrate on finding answers to questions in all types of activities suitable for abstract sound intelligence, up to global issues of human existence, acquiring the skill of feeling other people around him, the sound engineer is approaching his highest social mission - include the desires of others in theirs. This incessant self-actualization is a guarantee for the carriers of the sound vector from falling into the void of egocentrism and frustrated rationalizations that arise in the absence of filling and realization of vector properties.

Every person sometimes needs solitude, but only in the sound vector does the need to withdraw into oneself arise endogenously, including as a response to external stimuli. If there are too many such stimuli, plus there is no relevant development for the enormous natural potential of the sound vector, secondary autism may arise, when a person first avoids painful contacts with the outside world, and then may cease to feel the outside altogether. Losing connection with other people, the secondary autistic also loses the concept of morality, which is inextricably linked with society and reproduced only in society. The internal moral attitudes of the individual are annihilated simultaneously with the ideas of morality. The negative state of the sound vector "defines" its carriers in the MND risk group.

Another characteristic feature of the sound engineer is that he does not identify his body with the inner self. In sound egocentrism, the “I” is primary, the body is secondary, the material world is conventional. People, as objects of material nature, mean even less to a sound specialist suffering from MND syndrome than his own body: it costs nothing to kill them for a moral and ethical degenerate. For a secondary autistic person who is locked in his "shell", the external world turns into an illusion, like a computer game. Often the killing of others, like yourself, is interpreted by the MND-sociopath as a blessing, getting rid of the meaninglessness of existence. Such false rationalizations arise against the background of the presence of one of the vectors of the quartet of time - anal. An anal sound specialist in a frustrated state always justifies murder by the necessity of "cleansing" from filth. Division into clean and dirty, striving for cleansing are the basic desires of the bearer of the anal vector [3]. These desires in the developed and realized anal vector are always positive, and turn into monstrous rationalization-self-justification only in the distorted consciousness of the moral and moral degenerate.

If a person is able to assess his desires in accordance with the norms of morality and ethics, there is a chance to refrain from falling into the black hole of egocentrism. If not, and the stimuli from the outside world intensify, MND syndrome may develop, the extreme manifestation of which is the desire to kill people in order to enjoy hatred - the only feeling that connects a moral degenerate with society. At the same time, an individual suffering from MND syndrome can be completely socialized by external signs - to get an education, and even higher, to have a profession and work.

When moral norms in a society are vague and social shame is close to zero, an avalanche of hate crimes becomes a reality.

The absence or underdevelopment of mass culture as a restraining factor of hostility, the absence of common spiritual guidelines of the people affects everyone, but moral and moral degeneration occurs in the bearer of the sound vector when this vector comes to a certain unhealthy state. Only a certain part of sound professionals are exposed to the risk of MND, who, of course, are influenced by the general state of society. Sound specialists often do not find in modern society with the prevalence of material consumption any "consonance" with their basic non-material desires, suffer from the lack of spirituality of society, and do not see anything positive in the future of mankind.

In this situation, it is extremely important not only to timely differentiate those carriers of the sound vector who are at risk for MND syndrome, but also to offer an adequate rehabilitation program for such individuals, aimed at their maximum adaptation to the modern phase of society development. The first task can be accomplished only by differentiation on the basis of Yuri Burlan's System-Vector Psychology, the success of the second task also depends on the degree of balance and psychological literacy of both the immediate environment of the sound person and the entire society.

What is the likelihood of helping an individual with MND syndrome in the terminal stage - this question is beyond the scope of this article, and we will turn to this topic in subsequent works. But it is already obvious and proven by the practical work of the innovative school of Yuri Burlan that the task of stopping the current degenerative processes, filling basic desires in sound, is quite feasible.
