I want to admire the stars and fly calmly. Is there a cure for fear of heights?
And you say to yourself: “That's it, that's enough! I am a man or a rag! " You are determined to get rid of fear once and for all. How to do this, of course, you will be prompted by "experienced" - real stern men from the yard, or a neighbor - a colonel. “You must face your fear,” they will say, “You must fight it and win!” …
Oh, she's a romantic, definitely! She loves to climb onto the roof at night, and, sitting hugging under one blanket and drinking mulled wine, looking at the stars and reading poetry.
What are you? You sit with her under the blanket all wet with sweat, breathe often, react to everything absentmindedly, and think only about how to get away as quickly as possible. When she notices your condition and asks fearfully (you feel her fear) what is wrong with you, turning away so as not to look into her eyes, you will squeeze out through your teeth: "I am afraid of heights …".
Do you remember how in childhood the boys drove on the roofs? Boys love to tickle their nerves: to run a race from parapet to parapet, or start hide and seek between ventilation and elevator shafts. And you stand and wait below for them to descend. And when they go down they will hunt you down with a "woman", or something more offensive. What can you do, children can be cruel, especially the courtyard punks.
Years will pass. This bastard will grow up with you and become your best friends. And friends, of course, will not call you a woman, and generally will not laugh at your weaknesses. Only once, at a noisy party, one of them will shout: "Guys, this summer we must definitely fly to the sea!" And then he will glance at you furtively, and he will correct himself: "Well, you can take the train."
Fighting fear
And you say to yourself: “That's it, that's enough! I am a man or a rag! " You are determined to get rid of fear once and for all. How to do this, of course, you will be prompted by "experienced" - real stern men from the yard, or a neighbor - a colonel. "You must face your fear," they will say, "You must fight it and win!"
And so you go to the flying club to make a parachute jump. You have been preparing for this for a long time. Mentally, you have already said goodbye to family and friends, convinced yourself that you have nothing to lose. You go through training, put on a parachute, feeling a growing tremor in your knees and a chill in your stomach. When the plane takes off from the ground, only the presence of strangers on board keeps you from screaming. You still have enough strength to go up to the open hatch yourself and look into the abyss from the outside, and there … The remnants of will leave you. Of course, you do not react to the instructor's command, and you leave the plane with the help of a “caring” kick in the back. You spend a few moments of free fall in a semi-faint state, and you will never remember this feeling of falling later in your life. You come to your senses only when you feel the jolt and see the canopy of the opened parachute above you.
And at this moment, fear gives way to genuine delight. You're flying! You soar above the ground like a bird! You are a kilometer above the ground, you are still very scared, but that is why it is even more fun. When your feet finally touch the ground, you feel like Hercules, who returned to Mycenae after another feat, Jason, moored to the Greek shores with a golden fleece. You have conquered your fear, you are a hero!
And then strange things happen. You start dreaming about this jump at night. Only in a dream you no longer float in the air with a parachute, but fall towards the ground without any insurance. And you are very, very, stupid, scared. And when at night you go up to the roof with your romantic girlfriend, you finally understand: your fear has not gone anywhere, it is still with you, inside you …
And, of course, you will fly to Turkey with your friends. And the whole flight you will sit clutching the armrests of the chair and listen to your rapid heartbeat. And taken on the advice of "experienced" 100 grams "for courage" will only slightly ease your suffering.
The cure for fear
So, it turns out that defeating fear does not mean getting rid of it? How, then, to get rid of it? And where does this irrational feeling come from, which deprives you of control over yourself and makes you, like a wild animal, run in panic, run as far as possible from danger, or, conversely, freeze like a pillar?
The last question is the surest one. Only by bringing your fear out of the plane of the irrational, subconscious - having realized the deep roots, the reasons for its occurrence, can you stop allowing fear to control you and get rid of it forever.
The system-vector psychology of Yuri Burlan allows for the first time to "pull fear out" and carefully examine it. According to system-vector psychology, each person has a certain innate set of mental characteristics - vectors representing a set of innate human desires and ways of their realization, which, however, are hidden from us in the subconscious (that is, literally - “under consciousness”). Our inborn vectors determine our behavior and way of thinking, one might say, “live” by us.
When we manage to realize our desires in life - to materialize them into an objective result, we get real satisfaction and even pleasure from life. However, it is not at all easy to do this, since, firstly, they are hidden from us by our own consciousness, and secondly, we live in society, and are subject to the influence of the environment, first the family, then the school, etc. influence can hinder the development or implementation of our vectors. If the vector does not receive normal development during the period from birth to the end of puberty - 15-17 years, or later, under the influence of external reasons, cannot be realized in life, we feel different degrees of suffering, dissatisfaction with life, and incompleteness.
Owners of the visual vector are most susceptible to various kinds of fears and phobias. Such people get special pleasure by stimulating their visual receptors - the eyes. And given that it is through the eyes that we receive more than 99% of information about the world around us, with their normal development, the optics are people with outstanding intellectual potential (which, of course, also needs to be realized). They are able to distinguish the smallest shades of colors, to notice the smallest details in the environment, in addition, they are very sensitive to odors. The best artists, sculptors, actors, in general people of art are spectators, as well as psychologists, teachers and priests - that is, specialists in those areas where considerable emotional investment is required.
What are we really afraid of?
Sensitivity and sensuality in general are the main properties of the spectators. They are capable of experiencing the widest range of emotions, they also have the widest, in comparison with other vectors, emotional amplitude.
At the root of all visual emotions - one, the most powerful, which visual people from birth experience from primitive times to the present day - is the fear of death. With the normal development and implementation of the visual vector, this fear in a person is transformed into its complete opposite - love, which is at the other end of the range of emotions experienced by visual people. This becomes possible only if from childhood we learn not to fear for ourselves, but, bringing this fear out, to worry about other people.
If in the period before puberty the visual vector did not receive its development, or if it is in prolonged frustration due to the inability to realize itself or other external reasons, such as the loss of a loved one, to whom the visitor was very emotionally attached, then he is not able to withdraw his emotions outward and, on the contrary, begins to “absorb” into itself more and more, demanding emotions from others, sometimes with the help of hysterics, emotional blackmail and other not very pleasant manifestations.
Severe fright, loss of a sense of security and safety, which parents are called upon to provide, breaks of significant emotional ties in childhood subsequently give rise to many fears in the visual person. Acrophobia is a fear of heights, just one of the possible consequences of such events.
To get rid of any phobias, fears and even panic attacks, it is necessary to "learn" the visual vector - to understand how it develops, what features it has, ways of implementation, to put this knowledge in your mind into a single picture, like a puzzle. This becomes possible at the training in system-vector psychology by Yuri Burlan, where the eight-dimensional picture of our mental unconscious is revealed. The inseparable parts of the training are classes on the visual vector, in which this vector is deeply worked out, and the result of the knowledge gained is getting rid of any visual ailments.
Don't let fears “live on us”. They should not be a hindrance for romantic dates on the rooftops or flights to warm countries during the desired vacation:)
Thousands of people have already got rid of their fears after undergoing training, they are happy to share their results on the SVP portal.
